Eyelash growth cycle

 

Eyelash is growing and shedding all the time, cycle repeated in the process is called hair cycle. The hair cycle is divided into the growth period of hair growth, the regressive period of hair shedding, and the stop period of hair shedding. The cycle repeats itself: hair falls off; new hair grows back, and then gets longer. Human eyelashes start to grow around seven to eight weeks after birth, and the hair cycle changes around two to three months. However, not everyone's hair cycle is the same. Every person's hair grows and changes at different times, so it cannot be said that it must grow and change in this cycle. As a result, even if eyelashes are normal and healthy, they will fall off naturally and grow new ones.

Let's learn the role of each stage of the eyelash hair cycle:

1. Growth period- As the hair bulb shrinks, there is less cell division of the trichoblastic cells that supply hair growth, and the roots and trichoblastic cells are separated. The hair roots that remain in the skin will grow upward in order. During growth, hair grows and coarses at a rate of 0.1 to 0.18 millimeters per day.

2. Degeneration period - Hair begins its growth phase with the division of the trichoblast and grows only inside the skin for a short period of time after it enters the growth phase. Before long, we can see with the naked eye that hair starts to grow on the surface of the skin.

3. Stopping phase - As the hair and trichoblastic cells divide completely, hair growth stops and hair depilation begins. The hair roots begin to rest in the skin in a ball shape. This period lasts about 3-5 months. During the stop phase, hair starts to fall out because the hair roots are so close to the scalp, might fall two or three hairs a day.

 

 

If eyelash grafting is carried out in the growth stage, the hair will become uneven a few days later, which will give customers the impression that the eyelashes of our store are easy to be messy, thus questioning the grafting technology. All customers want eyelash grafting to be longer and better looking, so grafting is not recommended during the growth period of eyelashes.

If eyelash grafting is carried out in the regressive period, part of its own eyelashes will fall off because it cannot bear the weight, so it will take a long time for the new eyelashes to grow out again. In the meantime, the position that falls off will appear vacancy, very affect beautiful, also can cause more or less shadow to consumer's psychology.

If eyelashes are grafted during the stop period, they may fall out in a few days. For eyelash grafting at this stage, customers will have the phenomenon that grafted eyelashes will lead to premature hair loss, making them fear, or even doubt that they’re not suitable graft false eyelash.

In fact, the stop period is the shedding period of hair, this period even if nothing is done, lashes will fall off naturally. It's important to let the customer know ahead of time.

 

So it seems that none of the three stages can be grafted, right?

However, after a lot of theoretical research and practical operation, grafting in the end of the growth period, the beginning of the retrograde eyelashes is not only the most appropriate, but also the most conducive to the health of the grafted eyelashes.
