Eyelash Extension Retention Tips

The ideal retention for eyelash extensions is 6-8 weeks, it’s strongly recommend to wear lash extensions no more than 8 weeks, otherwise it may cause some eye diseases, the loss is not worth the gain.

So how can we keep our lash extensions set for 8 weeks? This can be done in two aspects-In applying processes and in after-care maintains.

 

When apply eyelash extensions

From the point of view of consumer, choose a regular eyelash shop, let more professional eyelash artists to choose eyelash for you, can be a bit safer. From the perspective of professional grafting, grafting style is different, the choice of eyelash material, quantity and so on are also different.

1.      In terms of false eyelash fibers, choose soft, fine material, the damage to real eyelash is smaller, retention is also relatively longer.

2.      When choosing a style, don't just go for length and density. If the false eyelashes you choose are too long or too thick, which is beyond the tolerance of your eyelashes, it will cause a lot of damage to your eyelashes, and it will be easy to fall off.

3.      In terms of glue choice, if you want to last longer, you can choose adhesives with longer duration. However, it should be noted that longer duration glues only suitable for all-non-sensitive skin types.

4.      Eyelash extensions will not fall off at once like sticking false lashes, but follow the footsteps of natural lashes and fall off one by one, if you want to keep lashes in good condition for a long time, it is recommended to repair once every two to three weeks.

Follow-up maintenance

1. After each grafting, whether re-grafting eyelashes or repairing eyelashes, avoid contact with water and steam within 48 hours, and do not take a bath, sauna, yoga, or other sports sweat easily.

2. Ensure that the eye products you use do not contain oil. Oily substances in cosmetics, makeup removers and skin care products will make glue lose its stickiness.

3. Avoid waterproof makeups, especially waterproof mascara. Because it breaks the glue and make the grafted lashes fall off prematurely.

4. Don't pull your lashes. When you find there’s false eyelash extension about to falling off, do not pull your lashes off, or it’ll damage your eyelash greatly. The correct way is to use an eyelash comb to smooth the lashes slowly and let them fall off naturally.

5. Avoid your eyelash extensions when doing eyelash makeups, the less you contact with your lashes, the less eyelashes will fall off, the more eyelashes will be retained, the longer the eyelashes will stay.
